Blonde success could be a myth as well as a fact. If we closely look at some of the women in various industries who are blonde and who achieved success at a very young age, we are forced to lean towards this diplomatic answer. Ranking at number 58 on Rolling Stone’s list of 100 Greatest Singers of All time and becoming the youngest and only artist under 30 to achieve this success, Christina Aguilera has several other feathers to her credit in her cap. In the year 2013, Times magazine has listed her among the top 100 Most Influential People in the world. Even though her achievements list is exhaustive, one cannot stop but mention another important achievement of hers which is her recognition by Billboard as the 20th most successful artist of the 2000s. Born as Christina Maria Aguilera in 1980, she won her first talent show at the age of 8 in which she performed Whitney Houston’s “I Wanna Dance with Somebody (Who Loves Me)”.
Christina recorded her first song, the duet “All I Wanna Do” at 14 with Japanese singer Keizo Nakanishi. Her song “Reflection” peaked at number 19 on the US Billboard Adult Contemporary Chart. She has been recognized as the eighth greatest women in the music industry by VH1 in 2012. She has the credit of selling 17.9 million records in US and 50 million records across the world. She is often referred to as “The Voice of a Generation” for her contribution to the music industry.
